Main House Grand Suites

Tempur-Pedic® Beds, Sleeper Sofa

These 900 square foot suites live up to their name with grandeur that includes canopy beds, period antiques, and reproduction furniture. Original wood doors separate the sleeping and living areas to accommodate entertaining or added privacy and:

  • Italian marble gas fireplaces
  • Original, elaborate parquet flooring and plaster moldings
  • Spacious bathrooms with whirlpool tub and walk-in shower (in select rooms)
  • 12-foot high ceilings
  • Please note these rooms are only accessible via stairs

Inn Policies

Deposit and Cancellation Policy

Please note that the first night's deposit including 13.5% tax is required at the time of reservation. Cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to scheduled arrival. Guests who do not cancel within this time will be charged for a one-night stay with tax. An early departure may result in a penalty.

Parking Policy

Our bed and breakfast offers parking behind the inn for a charge of $12 per evening.

Check-in/Check-out Times

Check-in time is 4p.m., and check-out time is 12 noon.

Additional Room Guests

For more than two guests in a room there is a $25 charge per night for each additional guest. There is no charge for children 12 years of age and under.

Guarantee Policy

Generally, we cannot guarantee any specific room number or location, although we will make an effort to grant requests.

Smoking Policy

Our bed and breakfast is a smoke-free establishment. Smoking in a designated non-smoking area is subject to a cleaning fee.

"We had a mother/daughter trip to Charleston, Beaufort and Savannah. I did a lot of research on hotels and bed and breakfasts. I'm so glad we decided to stay at the Rutledge House. We had a suite on the top floor which was beautiful and had a great view of the cathedral. The beds were the most comfortable on the whole trip. I highly recommend staying at the Rutledge House."
