Designed as a residence in the 18th Century and restored into a luxurious inn in 1989, The John Rutledge House Inn features 19 elegant rooms and suites, some with working fireplaces and jetted tubs.

The John Rutledge House Inn consists of the main house with 11 elegant rooms and 2 carriage houses each with 4 charming and secluded rooms. Each room has a private bath, European triple sheeted bedding, CD player clock radio, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, waffle weave robes, in-room refrigerator with bottled water, flat screen TV and DVD player and wireless internet access.

Main House Ground Floor Room with a King or Two Queen Beds
Our large ground floor rooms feature antique reproduction furniture, triple bedded sheeting, along with such amenities as CD player clock radio, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, waffle weave robes, in-room refrigerator with bottled water, and a flat screen TV and DVD player. This room type is only accessible via a staircase.

Carriage House Room with a King or Two Double Beds
Our charming and secluded carriage house rooms feature antique reproduction furniture, triple bedded sheeting, along with such amenities as CD player clock radio, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, waffle weave robes, in-room refrigerator with bottled water, and a flat screen TV and DVD player. Some rooms are on the second floor and only accessible via a staircase.

Main House Deluxe Room with a King or Two Double Beds
Our oversized deluxe rooms feature antique reproduction furniture, elaborately carved Italian marble fireplaces, and original parquet flooring and plaster moldings. Like our other rooms you will enjoy triple bedded sheeting, Oriental Carpets, a CD player clock radio, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, waffle weave robes, in-room refrigerator with bottled water, and a flat screen TV and DVD player. King bed deluxe rooms all have canopies. This room type is only accessible via a staircase.

Main House Mini Suite with King Bed
Our mini suite is decorated with 18th century reproduction furniture. The room features original plaster molding, an elaborately carved Italian marble fireplace, and original parquet flooring. Other room features you may enjoy are a canopied bed, large bathroom with jetted tub and separate shower, triple bedded sheeting, oriental carpets and 2 with fireplaces, a CD player clock radio, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, waffle weave robes, in-room refrigerator with bottled water, and a flat screen TV and DVD player. This room type is only accessible via a staircase.

Main House Grand Suite with a King or Queen and Sleeper Sofa
The grand suites, each with 1000 square feet of space offer 18th century reproduction furniture, original plaster molding, an elaborately carved Italian marble, and original parquet flooring. Some of the suites do offer jetted tubs with separate showers. This suite offers guests the option to close the original grand wood doors between the bedroom and living area to offer more privacy or for entertaining purposes. Other room features you may enjoy are a canopied bed, triple bedded sheeting, a CD player clock radio, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, waffle weave robes, in-room refrigerator with bottled water, and a flat screen TV and DVD player.
